Form is more important than reps! You might not hit all reps or even do all rounds, that’s ok! It may start small but will build each week to continue to maximize your gains. You got this!
Description: Begin in a tall plank position with a hollowback. Without picking up your feet (socks on a tile/wood floor is perfect), use your core to pull your knees between your arms and to your chest. Then push out back into a tall plank. Keep a hollowbody the entire time. The faster you goal, the more cardio benefit you get.
Goal: 3 rounds of 15 reps
Description: Start sitting on floor with legs out straight and toes pointed. Position hands on floor in front of hips trying for near middle of the thigh. Lean forward and give a strong push with your triceps and shoulders downward to lift your bottom. HOLD the V-stand AND one leg up while you pulse the other leg. Do 10 reps of one leg before switching legs.
Goal: 3 rounds of 10 reps each leg.
Description: Push up into a bridge with your feet on the wall. Weight shift onto your hands while pushing your chest up to the ceiling to work on opening your shoulders.
Goal: 3 rounds of 2 reps with 15 sec holds
Description: Do a handstand wall walk up as far as you can. Engaged your core maximally while you stack your hips over your shoulders. Then bring one leg off the wall. Then switch legs.
Goal: 3 rounds of 2 attempts
Description: Hold a hanging hollowbody with your core tight and lower back rounded/tucked x 5 seconds. Then control the transition to hanging superman x 5 seconds.
Goal: 3 rounds of 5 reps.
Goal: 3 rounds of 10 reps.
Description: Hanging on a pull-up bar or equivalent surface, use your core to lift your legs into an L. You will then use your core and shoulders to touch your toes up to the pole.
Goal: 3 rounds of 5 reps
Goal: 15 sec holds x 4 reps
Description: Roll your feet over your head like the video shows. Try to keep your legs together and knees straight.
Goal: 10 second holds x 2 reps each direction.
Description: This move starts in standing. You will then place 1 leg on a raised surface causing your entire shin bone to be supported on the surface with the shin crossing your body. You will then lean forward causing an increase in stretch to the hip area.
**Be sure that the leg is fully supported by the surface. This move should be done on a couch, bed or some other wide surface that will allow your leg to be fully supported.**
Goal: 4 reps each leg with 15 second holds
Description: Begin by rolling your feet back over your head. Roll forward into a straddle and press up into stalder. Try to do the reps continuously for cardio.
Goal: 3 rounds of 15 reps
Descrption: Begin in sitting with your legs out straight. Contract your core and raise your legs 6″ off the floor. Maintain a hollow back as you tuck your knees to chest then extend legs up to V compression (feet over head). Return knees to chest then back to 6 inches.
Goal: 3 rounds of 5 reps.
Description: This move starts by placing your hands on the ground flat in front of you slightly wider than your shoulders. You will then bring your feet close to your hands to allow your inner thigh near your knees to lean against your elbows. From there you will lean forward to lessen weight on your feet until you can lift BOTH FEET up off the ground.
Goal: 3 rounds of 3 reps for as long as you can hold. (Ultimate goal: 30-45 seconds of steady holding)
Description: Begin with your feet on the FLOOR with your body in a pike position. Perform a push up assuring only your elbows/shoulders are moving but you are keeping the angle at your hips the same. Once you have mastered that, elevate your feet on a stable surface as the video shows.
Goal: 3 rounds of 8 push ups.
Description: Start in a tall plank with your heels near a wall. Keep your knees straight while lifting one leg and sliding it as far up the wall as you can. Walk yourself back down into a plank.
Goal: 3 rounds of 5 reps each leg (hold the wall split for 5-10 seconds)
Description: Stand with the pole on one of your sides. Hold the leg further away from the pole out in front of you. Perform a pistol squat as far down as you can control with help form the pole for balance.
Goal: 3 rounds of 8 reps each leg
Description: This move starts by placing the stretching leg onto a raised surface at chest height or higher. The surface needs to be on the outside of the leg so that as you lean forward you are stretching away from the midline of the body.
Goal: 30 second holds x 4 reps each leg
Description: This move starts in standing. You will hold the towel with 1 arm that will lift above your head causing the towel to be placed behind your back. Then with the other arm you will reach behind your back for the towel. Work your hands towards each other using the towel as a guide to bring them closer together. When you have reached as closely together as you can, use the upper hand to pull the towel slightly up to give an extra stretch to the lower hand behind your back.
Goal: 3 reps each arm with 15 sec holds
Description: Start standing with hands on a surface waist height or higher. Then walk feet backwards and bend at hips to allow the shoulders to open.
*Focus on making sure your back doesn’t arch and the movement comes from your shoulders*
Goal: 2 reps of 20 second holds.
