Form over number of reps always!
Description: A great overall warm up / workout. Either 10 sec holds OR 10 reps of each.
Description: 2-3 attempts
Description: Hanging on a pull-up bar or equivalent surface, tuck your knees to your chest then return to fully straight position.
Goal: 20 crunches
Description: Begin by separating your feet further than hip width with your arms out to the side. Squat to 90 degrees or lower and hold for 3 seconds.
Goal: 20 reps
Description: This move starts by laying on your back. You will then contract your core while lifting your legs and arms just slightly causing your body to become like the bottom of a rocking horse. From there you will USE YOUR CORE to start the rock.
Goal: 30 rocks
Description: This move begins with lifting yourself into a chin-up position by using a box or step of some kind. You will focus on control lowering yourself back into the full hang. Use the step to hop back up into a pull-up position again.
Goal: 15 negatives with at least 5 second lowering
Description: Lay on your back with hips ~1 foot away from a wall. Place one foot up on the wall and cross your other leg over it to form a figure 4. Use your arms to push your knee away from your body.
Goal: 15 sec hold x 3 reps each leg.
Description: Hanging on a pull-up bar or equivalent surface, use your core to lift your legs into a crunch, knees to chest. You will then use your core and shoulders to rotate your knees from one side to another.
Goal: 20 reps (10 each side)
Description: Start with feet on wall on a raised surface such as a bed or chair. You will then walk yourself back into a pike position. Staying in the pike position, lift 1 leg overhead at a time attempting to stack leg over hips and shoulders.
ONE REP is walking in and lifting each leg once
Goal: 3 reps
Description: Start in sitting with legs wide. You will then place 1 hand on each side of 1 leg. You will then lean forward working your core compression while strongly pushing through your triceps to lift your bottom.
Goal: 15 push-ups each side
Description: This move starts laying on the ground with feet on a slightly raised surface. You will then squeeze your glutes to lift your hips and rotate your torso to reach towards the opposite side
Goal: 15 reaps per side
Description: Begin with your hands on an appropriately high surface to do chair dips off it. Cross one leg over the other into a figure 4. Perform a tricep dip maintaining your elbows as close to your body as you can.
Goal: 6 reps of 10 second holds per side
Description: Start hanging from a bar, or bar equivalent. You will then contract your core to bring your knees to your chest without swinging. Keep shoulders engaged to support yourself at the shoulder joint. Kick one leg out at a time.
Goal: 10 reps per leg.
Description: Begin in a tall plank or push-up position. Lower yourself down into a partial push-up, then push back up into the tall push-up. You then rock back to stretch your lats by touching your butt to your heels then return to push-up position.
Goal: 20 reps
Description: Begin in a tucked up position (knees to chest). Release your arms over your head and straighten your knees out while lying down on your back. Then use your core to pull yourself back up into the tucked up position.
Goal: 25 reps
Description: Start in the horse stance squat (hips and knees at 90 degrees.) Twist 90 degrees to one side, then complete bending the knee to the floor. Goal is to keep the stance narrow to allow the back knee to land at the front heel.
Goal: 20 reps (10 twists each way)
Description: This move starts in a lunge position. Then you contract your abs to lessen the arch of the lower back and lean forward allowing your hips to open. Focus on not allowing your back to arch as you lean forward.
Goal: 15 second hold x 3 reps each leg
Description: This is a great coordination move. Begin with your hands on the floor in front of you. You will shift your weight towards your stance leg while straightening out your sweep leg. Begin your sweep out in front of your body and towards your stance leg. Put your weight into your arms and “hop” your stance leg over sweep leg then continue to bring your sweep leg around your body.
Goal: 5 reps per side
