Description: Follow the video to do a stalder squat. The goal is to be able to hold the position while lifting one leg at a time (then eventually both feet), but to begin you may need to focus on squatting and weight bearing through your arms.
Goal: 4 rounds of 6 reps.
Description: Get into your frog stand with your feet near the wall so that as you balance your feet are assisting you. Maintain a forward lean with hips stacked over your hands and shoulders and then lift 1 leg up off the elbows and return with control.
Goal: 4 rounds of 3 reps per leg.
Description: Start in the horse stance squat (hips and knees at 90 degrees.) Twist further than 90 degrees to one side allowing the back leg to pass under the front leg, then complete bending the knee to the floor as much as possible.
Goal: 4 rounds of 8 reps each direction
Description: Begin in a plank with hollow back. Pull your legs through your arms and out to a reverse plank.
Goal: 4 rounds of 8 reps
Description: This is a great coordination move. Begin with your hands on the floor in front of you. You will shift your weight towards your stance leg while straightening out your sweep leg. Begin your sweep out in front of your body and towards your stance leg. Put your weight into your arms and “hop” your stance leg over sweep leg then continue to bring your sweep leg around your body.
Goal: 4 rounds of 6 sweeps per leg
Description: This move starts in lunged position. Place one leg in front of you like in the video. You will then lean forward causing an increase in stretch to the hip/buttock area. *Be sure to keep your chest up and hips pointed forward.*
Goal: 1 round of 4 reps each leg x 30 second holds
Description: Begin by pressing up into your L-stand. *Do not lose your turtle shell or compression!* Count your seconds so we can monitor your progress!
Goal: 4 rounds of 3 L-stands for as long as you can hold (your hold times should decrease as the rounds go on)
Description: This move begins on your back with your legs in a straddle. Maintain the straddle as you use your lower core to raise your legs up and towards your head as far as you can without using momentum.
Goal: 4 rounds of 10 reps
Description: Stand with the pole on one of your sides. Hold the leg further away from the pole out in front of you. Cross one leg over the other, and perform a pistol squat as far down as you can control with help form the pole for balance.
Goal: 4 rounds of 8 reps each leg
Description: Begin with your feet on an elevated surface with your body in a pike position. Perform a push up assuring only your elbows/shoulders are moving but you are keeping the angle at your hips the same.
Goal: 4 rounds of 5 push ups
Description: Start in a plank position with feet on a raised surface. You will then work to walk your hands into a piked position with hips over shoulders. Once you are stacked, you will then lift 1 leg above you holding your stack with the leg lifted.
Goal: 4 rounds of 3 reps per leg
Description: This move begins with sitting on your legs with your toes pointed. You will contract your core and your shoulders to raise your hips up as far as you can. Maintaining that compression, tap 1 foot off the ground.
Goal: 4 rounds of 8 reps each side
Description: This move starts in standing. You will hold the towel with 1 arm that will lift above your head causing the towel to be placed behind your back. Then with the other arm you will reach behind your back for the towel. Work your hands towards each other using the towel as a guide to bring them closer together. When you have reached as closely together as you can, use the upper hand to pull the towel slightly up to give an extra stretch to the lower hand behind your back.
Goal: 1 round of 4 reps each arm x 20 second holds
Description: Hang from your pull up in a tucked up position. Straighten your knees into an L extension then return to a tucked up position.
Goal: 4 rounds of 8 reps
Description: This move starts by laying on your back. You will then lift your legs and arms evenly as you contract your core. Be sure to lift evenly and reach for your toes each rep.
Goal: 4 rounds of 10 reps
Description: This move begins in a pike. Rotate to table while keeping your hips elevated. Raise one arm and opposite leg. Keep them straight. Rotate your body towards your extended leg attempting to touch hand and foot together.
Goal: 4 rounds of 8 reps each side
Description: Start standing with feet wider than your shoulders. Then squat as deep as you can. You will then shift towards one side and sweep the opposite leg in front and then back to the side. Shift to the other side and repeat.
Goal: 4 rounds of 8 reps each direction
Description: Begin in an elbow plank holding your hollowbody. Slides your feet towards one elbow to get an oblique crunch.
Goal: 4 rounds of 8 reps each side
Description: This stretch begins in a quadruped (on hands and knees) position. Place one leg out to the side. Walk your foot out as far as you can go. You should feel a stretch on the inside of your thigh, groin, and possibly hip joint.
Goal: 1 round of 4 reps each leg x 30 second holds
