Form over number of reps always! Listen to your body!
Description: KEITH – since your bands are lopped, put yourself in the loop (like around your shoulder blades) then punch one arm at a time out in front of you. Make sure to keep your core engaged and follow your core with your shoulder punching forward.
Goal: 3 rounds of 10 reps each side.
Description: This move starts by laying flat on your stomach with your arms overhead. Using your lats, pull yourself up into a forearm plank position. Then use core to pull up into a pike. Slow and controlled, come back down into a plank and then flat on the floor.
Goal: 3 rounds of 6 reps
Description: Follow the video to do a stalder squat. The goal is to be able to hold the position while lifting one leg at a time (then eventually both feet), but to begin you may need to focus on squatting and weight bearing through your arms.
Goal: 3 rounds of 6 reps.
Description: Stand with the pole on one of your sides. Hold the leg further away from the pole out in front of you. Cross one leg over the other, and perform a pistol squat as far down as you can control with help form the pole for balance.
Goal: 3 rounds of 10 reps each leg
Description: Begin by pressing up into your L-stand. *Do not lose your turtle shell or compression!* Count your seconds so we can monitor your progress!
Goal: 3 rounds of 3 L-stands for as long as you can hold (your hold times should decrease as the rounds go on)
Description: Begin with your hands at an appropriate distance away from the wall. Raise one foot on to the wall in a straddled position then the second leg. Extend away from the wall as far as you can control to planche over your wrists.
Goal: 3 rounds of 3 reps of 10 sec holds
Description: This move starts in lunged position. Place one leg in front of you like in the video. You will then lean forward causing an increase in stretch to the hip/buttock area.
*Be sure to keep your chest up and hips pointed forward.*
Goal: 60 second holdsĀ
Description: This stretch starts by sitting with good posture. Place the bottoms of your feet together and pull them in close to your pelvis. Use your elbows/hands to push your knees down towards the floor.
Goals: 15 second holds x 5 reps.
Description: Begin standing with your back to a wall or door. Move your feet ~3 inches away from the wall then walk them out into your middle split as far as you can do. The wall will help you stay over your feet and not shift your weight backwards.
Goal: 60 sec hold
Description: This move begins on your stomach with your arms in the field goal position. You will lead with a foot as you bring a leg up and around into a hip twist. Touch your foot to the floor then push up with your arms as you turn your body around and reach for your straight leg. Hold the hamstring stretch.
Goal: 30 sec hold x 2 reps each leg
Description: Set your shoulder blades back and down. Hold this contraction throughout the exercise. Bring your arm out to 45 degrees. Try to keep your elbow in the same spot as you pull the band, causing external rotation at your shoulder.
Goal: 3 rounds of 10 reps each side
Description: This move begins with sitting on your legs with your toes on a raised surface and pointed. You will contract your core and your shoulders to raise your hips up as far as you can while keeping your feet on the raised surface.
Goal: 3 rounds of 5 reps with 5 sec holds
Description: Get into a handstand with your belly towards the wall, core tight and back not arched. Carefully bend and straighten your elbows to perform a handstand push-up. With time and strength, bend your elbows deeper to perform a full push-up.
GOAL: 3 rounds of 1 handstand with 5-10 push-ups
Description: Perform a handstand wall walk up with your belly towards the wall. Stack hips over your shoulders and slowly let legs slide down the wall. As legs come down, bend your elbows and allow knees to land on triceps. Push back up into the starting position.
Goal: 3 rounds of 3 reps
Description: Kick up to a handstand on the wall so that your back is near the wall. You will then keep your elbows straight as you walk your hands away from the wall. Go as far as your shoulders will allow.
Goal: 3 rounds of 2 handstands
Description: This move starts in a lunge position. Then you contract your abs to lessen the arch of the lower back and lean forward allowing your hips to open. Focus on not allowing your back to arch as you lean forward.
Goal: 30 second hold each leg
Description: This stretch begins while laying on the floor. Bring one knee to your chest, and then straighten that leg. Keep your back flat against the ground. You should feel a strong stretch in the back of your thigh.
Goal: 4 reps each leg x 30 second holdsĀ
Description: Sit in a middle straddle with your legs as far apart as you can with your toes pointed up. Keep your back straight and arms to your ears. Hip hinge forward to feel a stretch.
Goal: 30 sec holds x 2 reps
Description: This move starts in standing. You will hold the towel with 1 arm that will lift above your head causing the towel to be placed behind your back. Then with the other arm you will reach behind your back for the towel. Work your hands towards each other using the towel as a guide to bring them closer together. When you have reached as closely together as you can, use the upper hand to pull the towel slightly up to give an extra stretch to the lower hand behind your back.
Goal: 15 sec holds x 2 reps each shoulder
Description: Start by inverting your body holding onto a bar or the underside of a couch/bed. Then lower your body keeping your core active to lessen any hip bending. You then will lift your body back up to an inverted position. **You can allow your knees to bend and touch the floor if you cannot lower and return to inverted position without.
Goal: 3 Rounds of 10 reps
Description: Begin in a lunge with your arms up to your ears. Kick up to a handstand using your back leg and land with your lead leg.
Goal: 3 rounds of 3 reps each leg.
Description: Start with hands flat on the floor. Walk feet near hands and lean knees against bent elbows. Lean forward to increase weight on hands then lift the legs to balance. Maintain that forward lean with hips stacked over your hands and shoulders and then lift 1 leg up off the elbows and return with control.
Goal: 3 rounds of 3 reps per leg.
Description: Begin with one leg behind you and your arms out in front for balance. Lower your back knee towards the floor and attempt to gently tap your knee to the floor. Return to standing, hold your balance, then perform another rep.
Goal: 3 rounds of 10 reps each leg
Description: Hang from your pull up in a tucked up position. Straighten your knees into an L extension then return to a tucked up position.
Goal: 3 rounds of 10 reps
Description: Place your elbow between your belly button and front hip bone. Weight shift your body weight forward mainly onto your arms then extend both legs out behind you. Focus on lifting both feet off the floor and holding the crab.
Goal: 3 rounds of 5 pulses each arm
Description: This move starts by placing the front of your foot against the wall with your heel on the ground. Keeping your knee straight, lean forward causing a stretch of the calf. Focus on shifting your hips forward with your knee straight.
Goal: 60 sec holdsĀ
Description: This move starts by placing the stretching leg onto a raised surface at chest height or higher. The surface needs to be on the outside of the leg so that as you lean forward you are stretching away from the midline of the body.
Goal: 30 second hold each leg
Description: This move starts by leaning forward and allowing your hands to reach the ground with knees bent. Then slide your legs out to the side, straightening your knees as you slide them outwards. Once you reach a comfortable split position with minimal stretching, you will gently pulse your hips up and down to give an additional stretch at the bottom of the pulse and back to resting position at the top of the pulse allowing your body weight to be partially supported by your arms.
Goal: 2 reps with 30 seconds of pulsing
Description: Start standing and bring 1 leg up to the wall with your foot flat on the wall. Then, lean forward to feel a stretch at the hips/hamstrings and calves.
Goal: 10 second holds x 2 reps each leg
